Natural Commercial Centers
MMSHOPS, the virtual marketplace management software platform mentioned in the software section, can lead to projects of territorial development with the involvement of local Public Administrations and Trade Associations.
The goal of these initiatives is to create a "Natural Shopping Center" by connecting the local stores, in order to counter the presence of supermarkets and hypermarkets.
The ARCO Project, now under development in Italy, is an example of such a project. It has the aim of involving commercial operators and small businesses of two neighboring towns, Arenzano and Cogoleto, developing initiatives to promote tourism and revaluating abandoned areas. Its final goal is the merger of the 2 towns into a wide Tourism area.
