 Emerging media and new models of CommunicationThe rapid development of emerging technologies makes new media available and radically changes existing media. This implies new opportunities not only for those who work in the communication sector, but also for those who work in other sectors, because today communication is an essential component in any type of business. Obviously it has a particular impact on those who are paid to communicate. But how many are used to a traditional approach and reject innovation? A very common problem that causes an ever-widening gap between those who prefer to live in the real world and those who remain clinging to a traditional approach that is now useless. The phenomenon is made even more critical by the unstoppable growth trend of video, which, for better or worse, is increasingly replacing written communication. This phenomenon is highlighted in an article dedicated to journalism, but which can be applied to all activities that use communication: "Emerging media and new models of journalism", also published in Italian in the FIJET Newsletter. This article cites the interesting example of ReteNeTVision, which for years has been developing new video technologies in which real and virtual merge, to which real-time automatic translation has more recently been added.
